Beautiful Boy: Emmett (Bo) Till

My husband, Rudy, took me to the movies. We had a great lunch and were eager to get our hands on some popcorn! All I knew was that for months, he had been telling me he wanted to see this movie, Till. He said it was based on a true story. I knew it was about a black guy that was killed by a couple of white guys who got off scot-free. Not the most intriguing subject matter, but if it sheds light on a worthy topic...so we went. What I did not know was that this guy was just a boy of 14. What I did not know was the depth of depravity that would linger in my spirit for so long afterward. It's obviously never acceptable to murder, but somehow the loss of an innocent like Emmett Till leaves me praying, "Come soon, Lord Jesus."
