I Have to Tell You Something.

I hate politics.

I hate people arguing for their party and position. I hate how defensive people become when you disagree with them. I hate the way an argument is assumed instead of a mature ability to have a conversation. I hate it.

We are fortunate enough to be born in a time when our words and opinions should be valued and respected... even if we disagree. Our system in America is lacking, to say the least, but we can still hope for restoration and radical recovery. Can't we? Well... perhaps not at this rate. We seem to be going to hell in a handbasket, if you'll excuse the phrase.

So, on this note, I know that many people will disagree with what I am about to say... but say it, I must. Truly. Because we have come to a position in our two-party system where pressure is on to vote for 'the lesser of two evils' or according to party for lack of option. It sickens me. But thank God (and I mean that literally) for the one commercial during the Super Bowl that educated me! (No, not the controversial one with servants washing feet.) The one that had a classic 1960's re-purposed Kennedy for President commercial. Initially, I was like, 'what the...' but then it made clear that Robert Francis Kennedy, Jr. was actually running for president in 2024. What?! Another choice? I had to check it out.

RFK, Jr. is running as an Independent, having left the Democratic party. His slogans are To Heal the Divide (between defunct parties) and Declare Your Independence. And I will be voting for him in November.

I know. I'm sorry. I hate it when people come at me with political crap, too. But desperate times call for desperate measures and I have come to strongly believe in this guy. I cannot, in good conscience, vote for either of the other candidates. You know why. I don't have to explain it.

I'm not a cram-my-agenda-down-your-throat kind of gal. So, I'll just say this: You can check out a free documentary by filmmaker Jeff Hays at therealrfkjrmovie.com. I've watched it and am overwhelmed.

If you want a guy who cuts through the bullshit... this is him.

If you want to check out his policies and where he stands you can do that here.

If you would like to see America pull out of its tailspin... he's the guy to truly make changes.

If you are exhausted and overwhelmed by being embarrassed by the candidates... he's the guy to change that.

If you want someone to put an end to Big Pharma... this is him.

If you think he's an Anti-vaxxer... he's not. He's for accountability and safe vaccines. Imagine that.

If you think it would be 'throwing your vote away because he doesn't actually stand a chance,' think again. He is rising in the poles and does stand a chance. He has become a true threat for good reason.

He can speak to any topic off script. He was raised in the system and knows its function. He is not for Big Government.

I will address his voice. Literally. RFK, Jr. has what is called spasmodic dysphonia. His voice hasn't always been this way. But, it's a handicap, like any other. Why judge it? Roosevelt was in the Oval Office with a wheelchair; why can't someone have spasmodic dysphonia? I'd rather have a guy with a shakey voice speaking the truth than a fully functioning guy who blows smoke up my rear for the sake of his selfish ambition. Come on.

If you don't have (almost) two hours to watch the documentary (which is unfortunate because it truly is fascinating), then I hope you'll watch this nine-minute State of the Union address. Or this 30-minute YouTube video.

"Friends, Countrymen, lend me your ears..." there is another option.
